Project highlights
Examining the effectiveness of EU border funding
DG HOME is responsible for managing the funding available for border management and to support the EU visa policy.
We are contributing to two studies to provide insights to reinforce the current approach: the ex-post evaluation for the period 2014-2020 of the Instrument for Financial Support for External Borders and Visa (ISF-BV) and the mid-term evaluation for the period 2021-2027 of the Instrument for financial support for border management and visa policy (BMVI).
Tetra Tech led the needs assessment, several country and thematic case studies, the assessment of the relevance and coherence of the funds and stakeholder consultations.
Helping the European border and coast guard agency
Since 2022, Tetra Tech has carried out several studies for Frontex, the European border and coast guard agency. This includes studies in relation to the Africa Frontex Intelligence Community (AFIC) project, the design and functioning of the networks of Frontex liaison officers, as well the workings of the Frontex Fundamental Rights Office.
